The Central European Foundation (CEF) was established thirty years ago to support and develop the identity and values of the Central European region. We carry out our own projects and support organizations, communities, and individuals who share our goals and values.

Our vision is a Central Europe where people are justly proud of their identity, cultural diversity, and values. A place where people treat each other with respect and appreciation. The mission of the CEF Foundation is to protect and develop the values of this unique region, which is characterized not only by the meeting of different nations and ethnicities but also by its exceptional cultural heritage and natural beauty
The Pillars of the Foundation
We contribute to better education and the versatile development of talents. We ensure the protection of cultural, natural, and architectural heritage. We support communities because we believe they can mobilize their resources, knowledge, and energy for positive change. The Danube, Europe’s second-longest river, is our “heart’s concern.” It connects not only territories but the communities that live along it.
